Never let a certificate or a domain quietly expire.
Reminders before your SSL certificate or domain registration runs out, plus broken certificate chains and wrong hostnames.
An expired SSL certificate puts a full-page warning in front of every visitor. A lapsed domain takes your site and your email down at once. Both are completely avoidable, and both still happen to businesses of every size.
SSL certificates
- Reminders 30, 14 and 3 days before the certificate expires (you can change these).
- Alerts when the certificate doesn't match your site's name, the chain is incomplete, or it was issued by someone browsers don't trust.
- The issuer and expiry date on your site's page, so you know whether renewal is automatic (Let's Encrypt and most hosts renew for you) or a job for someone.
Certificates are checked every 6 hours.
Domain registration
- Pingerer reads your domain's public registration record (RDAP) once a day and reminds you 30 and 7 days before it expires.
- The registrar's name is in the alert, so you know where to log in to renew.
- It works for any domain whose registry publishes RDAP, which covers almost every common ending. If a registry doesn't, we say so instead of guessing.
Why both matter
Automatic renewal fails quietly: an expired card, a registrar account in a former employee's name, a certificate tool that stopped running after a server move. A reminder a month out gives you time to fix it calmly.

More of what Pingerer watches
Uptime monitoring
HTTP, keyword, ping and port checks as often as every 30 seconds, confirmed from more than one region before anyone is woken up.
DNS change alerts
Pingerer keeps a copy of your A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS and TXT records and tells you when any of them change.
Email deliverability
Plain-English checks of SPF, DKIM and DMARC, so the emails your business sends keep arriving.
Heartbeats
Your cron jobs, backups and workers ping a URL when they finish. If one goes quiet, you get an alert.
